Team Worldwide Enters Tenth Year with the U.S. EPA SmartWay® Transport Partnership

Team Worldwide is proud to announce that it renews another year with the SmartWay Transport Partnership, an innovative collaboration between U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and industry. The SmartWay Transport Partnership provides a framework to assess the environmental and energy efficiency of goods movement supply chains.

The Partnership was developed jointly in early 2003 by EPA and Charter Partners and currently has over 3,000 Partners including shipper, logistics companies, truck, rail, barge, and multimodal carriers. Partners rely upon SmartWay tools and approaches to track and reduce emissions and fuel use from goods movement.

Team Worldwide continues its strong environmental leadership and commits to tracking and reporting carbon emissions for the tenth consecutive year while contributing to the Partnership’s savings of 248.9 million barrels of oil, $33.4 billion in fuel costs and 119 million tons of air pollutants.

“It is our pleasure and honor to be a part of the SmartWay partnership system while striving to bring about real changes. Through our work with them over the last 10 years, Team has elevated our awareness, focus, and priority towards a better future,” said Bobby Brunson, Vice Chairman of Team Worldwide.
